Wow! That was an awesome Summer, lets hope winter can match.

Mardi Gras is over for another year.. great numbers, awesome music and pretty well behaved guests. Well done to the organisers on a job well done.

The Station Cafe is proud to once again be host to this amazing local artist.
Viewing will open from 6pm Saturday 21st July.

Kiwi rail are running a new rail service,utilising 3 new scenic passenger carriages, a new cafe car, luggage van and an open air viewing carriage.
The new carriages feature large panoramic windows giving a very open feeling to the traveller, if you actually want to be in the open there is the option of the outdoor viewing carriage,I can recommend being on this as you travel across The Maketote viaduct, great views!!

The Station is a registered Park over Property for NZMCA members.We have plenty of room surrounding the railway station and if you don't mind the rumble of a locomotive, you are more than welcome to stay.
All we ask is that you advise us that you are here and for how long.
We are also looking at providing a dump station in the near future.
So please call in, grab a very good coffee and be a guest of ours in this wonderfully scenic area of Tongariro National Park.

Ride the summit hits National Park for the third year in a row!
Between 60-70 throbbing Harley machines will make their way into National Park on Friday the 26th November and shall make their exit on Sunday 28th November.
A great event largely sponsored by Schnapps Bar, the weekend consists of great riding, challenging games and social comraderie.

The Overlander train service resumes a 7 day schedule as of the 24th September 2010.
Overlander Not Running - Sunday 26th December 2010 to Sunday 9th January 2011
Due to major upgrade projects closing several parts of the rail network between Christmas and early January, the Overlander will not run from Sunday 26th December 2010 to Sunday 9th January 2011. The Overlander will be back to business as usual from Monday 10th January 2011.

Saturday evening 21st August, The Station brings you the cruisy sounds of Tama and friends. A long time regular, be sure to reserve your table if you wish to join us for a n evening of fine food, friendly service and great music. With 10cm new snow on tuesday and a further 15cm on Wednesday, Whakapapa has hit the magical 1 metre mark. Good skiing and boarding to be had next fine day.
